While many profess to know Christ - for most that is as far as it goes - just a profession.
Most cannot say as Paul said in Philippians 3:7-8 Philippians 3:7-8: But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ
They cannot say that because they treasure their old life more than Christ.
Also, because they are still living their life for themselves, they cannot say as Paul said in Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and delivered Himself up for me."
If this describes you - - someone who professes to be a Christian, yet has not experienced the new birth resulting in a committed life to Jesus Christ, it is my prayer that you would humble yourself, and call on Jesus, trusting Him as your Savior, repent of or your sins and submit to Him as your Lord, surrendering your life to His authority.
Deuteronomy 11:16 Beware that your hearts are not deceived..."
ARE YOU DECEIVED?
It is my sincere hope that these few words be found to be in love, by grace, to the Glory of God.
Ephesians 3:14-21 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
In Christ, Jeff David Knight
